Ready to glow like a pro? Here’s The Fool’s Guide to the Best Tan of Your Life—because getting golden shouldn't be guesswork. In this blog post we will be discussing all the pre and post work to your spray tan... a flawless tan is just one scroll away!

A spray tan is a quick, sunless way to achieve a natural-looking bronze glow. It involves misting the skin with a tanning solution containing DHA, which reacts with the skin’s surface to create a temporary tan that lasts about 5–10 days. I offer multiple different solutions and shades so that you can have an absolutely customized tan.
The Prep for Your Tan in Chronological Order!
48 Hours:
If you opt for waxing rather than shaving, make sure you get any kind of waxing service done 48 hours in advance. This will give your skin enough time to calm down and heal from any potential irritation, redness, or sensitivity caused by the waxing process!
Moisturize well for the next 48 hours so your skin is perfectly hydrated by the time your appointment rolls around.
24 Hours:
Exfoliate and shave the day before your spray tan. This ensures your skin is smooth and free of dead skin cells, allowing the tanning solution to apply more evenly and last longer.
Day Of:
Make sure you arrive to your appointment free of deodorant, lotions, and perfume free. These things can create a barrier that prevents the tanning solution from properly absorbing. This can lead to uneven color, patchiness, or lighter areas where the solution couldn't develop fully
Wear baggy and dark clothes to the appointment! Loose-fitting clothes prevent friction that can rub off the tanning solution before it fully develops, especially in areas like the underarms, waist, or inner thighs.
The Post Care for Your Tan!
You will want to leave the solution on for the discussed amount of time and when its time to rinse off, you will want to do so with just water. This will be the first shower without soap, and your tan will continue to develop for the next 24 hours. The shower the next morning you can use soap again but please refrain from using DOVE soap. I always recommend a sulfate free, cream based soap. Moisturize after that shower and every shower that follows for an even tan.
I hope this page helps you achieve a flawless tan everytime!
