If you’re looking for a quick and satisfying meal that doesn’t skimp on flavor, this Green Bean Honey Chicken is a winner. The sweetness of the honey pairs perfectly with tender chicken and the crisp bite of fresh green beans ... though you can easily swap in your favorite vegetables to suit your taste. What I love most about this recipe is its simplicity: it comes together with minimal effort, yet feels hearty and filling. Serve it over a bed of fluffy white rice, and you’ve got a complete meal that’s both comforting and delicious.

Honey Sesame Chicken is the perfect balance of sweet, savory and savory! The honey brings a natural sweetness, while the sesame adds a warm, toasty depth that ties everything together. Paired with crisp green beans, not only does the dish get a satisfying crunch, but it also packs a boost of nutrients that support skin health and aid in digestion. What makes this recipe even better is its simplicity: the ingredient list is short, the steps are easy to follow, and the result is a hearty, filling meal that feels both wholesome and delicious.
The Ingredients:
Chicken and Green Beans
1 lb chicken thighs, cubed
2 TBSP flour
2 TBSP arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)
3 TBSP olive oil (or whatever you like to grease your pan with)
2-3 cups of diced green beans
The Sauce:
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 TBSP water
2 TBSP sesame oil
3 TBSP honey
1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp ginger
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)
Instructions:
Prep the green beans first, I like to lightly toast them in a little bit of oil so they remain crunchy. In the pan that you plan to cook the chicken in, add your chopped green beans and toast them until bright green in color. Once toasted, set aside in a bowl.
Prepare the sauce next, add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk together until there are no lumps left.
In another bowl whisk together the flour, arrowroot powder, and seasonings of your choice. I like to season with just garlic salt and pepper, the sauce should be the main attraction for flavor. Once whisked add the mixture to a plastic bag, along with the cubed chicken. Shake the bag to evenly coat.
In the same pan that you toasted the green beans, add your coated chicken along with the olive oil. Allow the chicken to cook to full temp and get golden on both sides. Once that is achieved, add the sauce to the pan and simmer for about 5 minutes.
After the sauce simmers, add the green beans. Toss and enjoy!
